About this opportunity
The Singapore Armed Forces Scholarship is the Uniformed Service scholarship offered jointly by the Public Service Commission and MINDEF/SAF, for students who want a military career to safeguard Singapore's interests. Applicants go through the PSC selection process, and suitable candidates are referred to MINDEF/SAF for further assessment. Scholars on the Uniformed Service track are paid a full salary including bonuses, and the award covers tuition and approved charges.
Who can apply
Singapore Citizens with strong leadership qualities and potential and good academic and non-academic records. GCE A-levels, IB, NUS High School Diploma, Polytechnic Diploma with merit, or another high school diploma or equivalent; you may apply before your final results. For a scheme with a tied agency, the undergraduate degree must be in an area relevant to that agency.
How to apply
Submit an online application with supporting documents, an essay and a video interview. Applications for 2027 are open and close on 15 March 2027; shortlisted candidates are told the next stages.
