About this opportunity

<p>The Singapore Mathematical Olympiad (SMO) Senior Section is a national mathematics competition for Sec 3 and Sec 4 students organised by the Singapore Mathematical Society. It covers the full secondary mathematics curriculum and extends to problem-solving beyond the syllabus.</p><ul><li>Open to Sec 3 and Sec 4 students born on or after 2 January 2010, studying full-time in a Singapore school</li><li>Round 1 is a 2.5-hour paper of multiple-choice and short-answer questions</li><li>Top 10% from Round 1 advance to Round 2, a 4-hour written paper requiring full-length solutions</li><li>Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honourable Mention certificates awarded; cash awards extend to the top 30 positions, with the Liew Mai Heng Memorial Prize for the Senior winner</li><li>2026 dates: Round 1 on 3 June (0930-1200); Round 2 on 27 June (0900-1300)</li></ul><p>Registration is submitted through participating schools. Fees are S$10 per student from SMS institutional member schools and S$12 from non-member schools.</p>
