<p>SIMO is the Singapore International Mathematical Olympiad Committee's training pipeline preparing Singapore students for the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). It is coordinated by members drawn from the NUS Department of Mathematics, the Ministry of Education, and Junior College teachers.</p><ul><li>Junior Training Team: selected via SMO Junior Round 2; trains July to August.</li><li>Senior Training Team: selected via SMO Senior Round 2; trains January to April.</li><li>National Training Team: selected via SMO Open Round 2, typically under 20 students.</li><li>The six-member IMO team is chosen through National Team Selection Tests (NTST) held in April and early May.</li><li>A one-week residential training camp runs during the June school holidays for the Senior and National teams.</li></ul><p>Contestants must be under 20 and not enrolled at a tertiary institution, and must be Singapore citizens or permanent residents. There is no separate application — selection is automatic based on performance in the relevant SMO rounds.</p>
