About this opportunity

<p>The Pascal, Cayley and Fermat (PCF) Contests are CEMC / University of Waterloo's introductory multiple-choice mathematics competitions for junior to middle secondary students. They are designed to be approachable for first-time competitors while still stretching experienced ones, and act as a stepping stone to the Euclid Contest.</p><ul><li>Pascal for Grade 9, Cayley for Grade 10, Fermat for Grade 11; motivated younger students are welcome to write up.</li><li>25 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes; scored out of 150.</li><li>Three parts: Parts A and B are standard A–E multiple-choice; Part C asks for a whole number from 0 to 99.</li><li>2026 contest date outside North and South America: Thursday, 26 February 2026.</li><li>Written in school, on paper or through the CEMC Contests Online platform; some calculators are permitted.</li><li>Top performers receive Certificates of Distinction; top international scorers appear on the International Honour Roll.</li></ul>
