About this opportunity

<p>The Breakthrough Junior Challenge is an annual global science video competition for high-school students, run by the Breakthrough Prize Foundation. Entrants submit an original video of up to two minutes that explains a concept or theory in physics, life sciences, or mathematics in a clear and compelling way.</p><ul><li>Open to individuals aged 13-18 worldwide; one entry per person, no group submissions.</li><li>Videos must be in English, under 2:00 in length, and uploaded via the official Website.</li><li>Judged in phases: peer-to-peer scoring, an expert Evaluation Panel, and a final Selection Committee.</li><li>Winner prize package: a US$250,000 post-secondary scholarship for the student, a US$50,000 cash prize for their science teacher, and a US$100,000 Breakthrough Science Lab for the winner's school.</li><li>The 2026 Challenge launches on 1 May; dates beyond that are to be announced on the official site.</li></ul><p>Entrants must also review at least five peer submissions for their own entry to remain valid. No entry fee.</p>
