<p>The American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME) is an invitational competition run by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) for high-scoring AMC 10 and AMC 12 students. In Singapore, Asia Maths Alliance coordinates a local testing venue, making the AMC/AIME pathway accessible to students here.</p><ul><li>Eligibility: AMC 10 or AMC 12 qualifiers — top ~2.5% of AMC 10 scorers and top ~5% of AMC 12 scorers are invited to AIME.</li><li>Format: 15 questions, 3-hour individual written exam; each answer is an integer between 0 and 999.</li><li>Offered on two dates: AIME I (5 February 2026) and AIME II (11 February 2026); a student may take only one.</li><li>Top AIME scorers are invited to the USA Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO) or Junior Mathematical Olympiad (USAJMO), leading into the USA IMO team selection pathway.</li><li>A strong AIME score is a recognised signal for US university applications in STEM.</li></ul><p>Qualification via AMC 10/12 is automatic based on score.
