<p>Pre-competition training camps run by subject-specific Singapore olympiad committees for students preparing for International Olympiads such as the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) and analogous physics, chemistry, and biology olympiads. Mathematics training is coordinated by the Singapore International Mathematical Olympiad Committee (SIMO) at the NUS Department of Mathematics; intake is by invitation based on performance in national-round competitions.</p><ul><li>Selection is based on ranking in the relevant national olympiad — for mathematics, this means SMO Junior, Senior, or Open round 2.</li><li>Mathematics: Junior group training runs July–August; Senior group training runs January–April.</li><li>SIMO runs a one-week residential training camp during the June school holidays for the national team and Senior Group.</li><li>The National Team Selection Test (NTST) determines the final six representatives for the IMO.</li><li>Training is free of charge; costs are covered by MOE, NUS, and the organising committees.</li></ul><p>Students do not apply directly — participation follows from ranking in the relevant national olympiad.</p>
