About this opportunity
Five weeks on a US university campus studying how power and privilege shape social structures. You sit a three-hour college-level humanities and social sciences class every weekday, build and defend arguments in seminar discussion, run the programme's own democratic house meetings, and do community service alongside 15-17 year olds from around the world.
Who can apply
International applicants must be secondary school sophomores (Sec 4 / Year 4 equivalent), at least 15 at the start and no older than 17 by the end of the programme, and comfortable with advanced reading, writing and seminar discussion in English. Both US and international students are welcome, so Singapore students are eligible.
How to apply
Online application on the Telluride Association site: essays, short answers and a teacher recommendation. No application fee. Two tracks to choose from, TASS-CBS (African diaspora studies) and TASS-AOS (power and social structures). The Telluride Association will not run TASS in 2027 while its Board reviews the programme, and it has not said when TASS will return.
