About this opportunity
Parliament House runs programmes for school groups: a guided visit on non-sitting days, watching a live sitting with an explanation of the proceedings, and a Moot Parliament where students play the Speaker, Prime Minister or Leader of the Opposition and debate a Bill in a specially built chamber. It is a close look at how laws are made in Singapore.
Who can apply
Secondary, ITE, polytechnic and junior college students in school groups. The Moot Parliament is for Upper Secondary, polytechnic and junior college students only.
How to apply
A teacher or student group books by emailing Parliament's Communications & Engagement Department at parl_edu@parl.gov.sg. MOE's NE resource guide lists groups of 10 to 25 for observing a sitting and 30 to 60 for non-sitting-day visits, which should be booked a month ahead.
