About this opportunity

<p>The NTUC Starter Awards are bond-free scholarships for Singaporean students at partner Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs). Beyond the financial award, recipients undertake a one-year leadership development journey covering workshops, community immersion projects, mentorship, and an overseas learning journey.</p><ul><li>Open to Singapore citizens at partner IHLs (ITE, NYP, NP, SP, TP, SIT) who are not in their final year</li><li>Award quantum: $2,000 per academic year (ITE), $3,000 per academic year (Polytechnics), $4,000 per academic year (SIT)</li><li>Bond-free; awardees must remain an NTUC Starter or NTUC Union member during the award</li><li>Leadership programme includes orientation, teambuilding, training, community immersion, and overseas trip</li><li>Awardees expected to maintain at least 75% attendance across leadership sessions</li><li>Selection is via written application, essay, and interview for shortlisted candidates</li></ul><p>Application typically opens around August each year via the NTUC Starter Awards page.</p>
