About this opportunity
A free online research programme for pre-university students who want to work on pressing global problems, from AI and biosecurity to climate and global health. It begins with Research Foundations, a five-week course in winter or spring 2027. Selected students continue to an eight-week summer fellowship with weekly one-on-one mentoring, project grants of up to USD 1,000 and a Demo Day, and top fellows can go on to USD 10,000 scholarships.
Who can apply
Aged 14 to 20 at the start of the fellowship (June 2027), not yet in university, from anywhere in the world. No research experience or project idea needed.

Apply online (the first stage takes about 45 minutes and includes brainteasers and puzzles). Priority deadline 15 December 2026; final deadline 4 January 2027.
