About this opportunity

<p>The Minds Underground Law Essay Competition is an annual international essay contest for aspiring lawyers, primarily aimed at Year 12 students but also open to ambitious younger applicants and Year 13 re-applicants. Entrants explore foundational questions about justice, law, and society, practising university-level research and argumentation.</p><ul><li>2026 questions: whether international law should override national sovereignty; whether justice can exist without equality; and why judges do not decide cases based on personal views of fairness.</li><li>Entrants choose one question and submit a single essay.</li><li>2026 deadline: 3 April 2026 (submissions now closed).</li><li>Winners receive recognition and tailored resources to support future university applications.</li></ul><p>Submission and guidelines are available via the Minds Underground law competition page; enquiries can be directed to enquiries@mindsunderground.com.</p>
