About this opportunity
<p>The International Junior Cybersecurity Olympiad (IJCO) is a team-based Capture-the-Flag (CTF) contest for secondary and junior college students, run by SIMCC under its STEAM AHEAD umbrella in partnership with NUS Centre for Nurturing Computing Excellence (CeNCE) and the Singapore National Cybersecurity R&D Lab (NCL). Certificates are co-branded with the NUS CeNCE and NCL crests.</p><ul><li>Eligibility: Grades 7–12 (Secondary 1 to JC 2)</li><li>Format: team-based CTF, typically teams of three, solved on a shared challenge site</li><li>Training workshops (4 days to ~1 week) are offered in advance to prepare participants</li><li>Syllabus covers cybersecurity fundamentals, tooling, network protocols and CTF techniques</li><li>Awards: individual and team certificates/medals; overall championship trophies where divisions have enough participants</li></ul><p>Students register through the STEAM AHEAD portal or via SIMCC's national partner network.</p>
