<p>The Swift Student Challenge is Apple's annual competition for student developers worldwide. Each applicant builds an interactive app playground in Swift — a small, self-contained experience that can be explored in about three minutes — and submits it as a .swiftpm ZIP file. Winners are chosen based on innovation, creativity, social impact, and inclusivity, and Apple selects a group of Distinguished Winners from that pool for an on-site programme in Cupertino.</p> <ul> <li>Eligibility: enrolled students or recent graduates; registered Apple developer account required; individual submissions only — no group work</li> <li>Minimum age in Singapore: 16 (13 or older in most other countries)</li> <li>Submission format: single-author app playground built with Swift Playground or Xcode, up to 25 MB, English only, no required network connectivity</li> <li>Awards: up to 350 winners per year receive a personalised certificate, AirPods Max, a one-year Apple Developer Program membership, and a free Swift certification exam voucher</li> <li>Distinguished Winners: up to 50 winners are invited to Apple Park in Cupertino for a three-day programme alongside WWDC</li> <li>You can receive a Swift Student Challenge award up to three times; a Distinguished Winner award once</li> </ul> <p>The application window typically opens in early February, with winners notified in late March.
