<p>The Singapore Biology League (SBL) is an online team-based biology contest supported by the Singapore Institute of Biology and organised by a group of students and graduates. It sits alongside sister "league" contests in physics (SPhL) and chemistry (SChL), and is open to pre-university students across Singapore competing in teams of 3–5.</p><ul><li>Eligibility: JC, Millennia Institute, polytechnic, ITE or international-equivalent students currently enrolled in a Singapore pre-university institution.</li><li>Single contest day — SBL 2026 runs on Saturday, 4 July 2026 from 0900 to 1300 (SGT) on the SBL online platform.</li><li>Three scored events: Main Problems (incremental-difficulty problem sets), Reflex Ark (a synchronous quiz-style showdown new in 2026), and Adrenaline Rush (a 50-minute MCQ sprint).</li><li>Open-book: teams may use textbooks, notes, and the internet, but may not communicate with anyone outside the team.</li><li>Awards are ranked by team percentile — Gold (top 10%), Silver (next 20%), Bronze (next 30%), Honourable Mention, and a Certificate of Participation for all other teams.</li></ul>
