About this opportunity
<p>Rainbow Centre is a Singapore social service agency (a registered charity and Institution of a Public Character since 1992) that empowers persons with disabilities to thrive in inclusive communities. Through its Get Involved programme, Rainbow Centre welcomes youth and student-group volunteers to work alongside its clients across early intervention, special education and care services.</p><ul><li>Volunteers must be at least 15 years old; those under 18 require parental consent.</li><li>Service-based roles include classroom support, befriender and travel-buddy roles, therapy-aide, out-of-school-hours care support and hydrotherapy / sports activities such as kayaking and bowling.</li><li>Event-based opportunities (for student groups) include campus celebrations, fundraising activities and logistics support.</li><li>Skills-based volunteering covers workshops, administrative help and multimedia work such as photography, videography and copywriting.</li><li>Individual service volunteers are asked to commit at least 10 weeks (about one school term) to build rapport with clients.</li></ul><p>To get involved, register interest via the Volunteer Opportunities form on the Rainbow Centre website or email partnership@rainbowcentre.org.sg.</p>
