<p>The Science Research Programme (SRP) is a flagship NUS Faculty of Science research attachment run in collaboration with MOE's Gifted Education Branch. Selected JC1 and IP Year 5 students work on a mathematics or science research project under the supervision of NUS faculty across about seven months.</p><ul><li>Starts in June with a two-week full-time attachment, followed by fortnightly meetings from July through the following January for experimentation, analysis, and paper write-up</li><li>Can be taken as the examinable H3 version or as the non-examinable enrichment version</li><li>Targeted at JC1 / IP Year 5 students with strong H2 foundations in mathematics and science; school nomination required</li><li>Students produce a research paper and may present at the SRP Congress</li><li>Application window opens in late February; the 2026 intake registration ran 20–24 February 2026</li></ul><p>Students apply through their school's SRP or GEP coordinator; the Faculty of Science publishes the SRP project categories ahead of each intake.</p>
