<p>NUH Care Companions volunteers spend time befriending adult ward patients at National University Hospital through conversations, leisure activities, and cognitive engagement. Volunteers also conduct reality orientation, respond to call bells, and encourage patients to do light exercises as part of daily care support.</p><ul><li>Minimum age: 16 at the time of application, in generally good health</li><li>Commit at least one hour per session, weekly, for a minimum of six months</li><li>Shifts available daily including public holidays, any time between 10am and 9pm</li><li>Induction or orientation at NUH is required before starting</li><li>Vaccination records required (COVID-19, MMR, Varicella, Boostrix)</li></ul><p>Apply through the Care Companions application form on the NUH volunteer page.</p>
