About this opportunity

<p>The National Olympiad in Informatics (NOI) is Singapore's annual competitive programming competition, organised by the NUS School of Computing. It is modelled on the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) and serves as the selection pathway for Singapore's IOI, APIO and EGOI teams.</p><ul><li>Open to secondary school and junior college students in Singapore; participants are registered by their teacher-in-charge, and registration is free.</li><li>Two-stage format: an online Preliminary Contest (5 tasks in 5 hours) followed by an in-person Final Contest at the NUS School of Computing.</li><li>The top five students per school/category, plus the top female contestant, are invited to the Final Contest; other preliminary participants with non-zero scores receive a Certificate of Participation.</li><li>Solutions may be written in C++ or Python 3; finalists compete for Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.</li><li>NOI 2026 key dates: registration closes 14 Feb, preliminary on 21 Feb, final on 14 Mar, with award ceremony on 9 May 2026.</li></ul>
