About this opportunity

<p>The Pre-University Internship Programme (PUIP) at Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) gives final-year pre-university students a four-week look at the Foreign Service Officer career path. Interns sit in on briefings about MFA's role and Singapore's foreign policy, attend dialogue sessions with senior diplomats, observe meetings on policy issues, and contribute to research and directorate assignments.</p> <ul> <li>Eligibility: final-year JC, polytechnic, or equivalent students (including NSFs awaiting university admission) considering the Foreign Service Scholarship.</li> <li>Open to Singapore Citizens and PRs intending to take up citizenship.</li> <li>Duration: 4 weeks per intake; cohorts run through December, January, February, and March.</li> <li>Pro-rated allowance of S$800 per month.</li> <li>Selection is competitive; applicants are screened by the MFA Scholarship office.</li> </ul> <p>Applications are submitted via mfa_scholarship@mfa.gov.sg during the open window (typically several months before each intake).</p>
