<p>HealthServe recruits Interpreter and Translator volunteers to help migrant workers communicate with healthcare providers during consultations and to convert written materials between English and community languages. Fluency in one of the listed languages is essential; both oral interpretation and text/oral translation roles are available.</p><ul><li>Languages supported: Bengali, Tamil, Hindi, Mandarin, Burmese and Thai</li><li>Minimum 18 years old</li><li>Interpreters must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19; remote translators do not need to be</li><li>Translators and certain interpreter roles can be done remotely; others are in-person at HealthServe clinics</li><li>Minimum commitment of six months, once per month for regular roles; some ad hoc scheduling available</li></ul><p>Apply via the Volunteer Application form on HealthServe's website; enquiries to volunteer@healthserve.org.sg.</p>
