<p>The Global Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (GYEC) is an online 12-hour business-idea competition for high-school students, organised by the Center for Entrepreneurship Development (Entreplanet) in Japan. Teams receive a challenge at the start of the competition day and must submit a 2-page business plan and a 3-minute video pitch in English within 12 hours, with strong entries advancing to a Final Round.</p> <ul> <li>Eligibility: secondary/high-school students aged 14–18 worldwide; teams of 3 to 8 members with a mix of science, technology, business, marketing and communication skills.</li> <li>Format: fully online; compete from anywhere with an internet connection.</li> <li>Structure: 12-hour competition day followed by a Preliminary Round and a Final Round.</li> <li>Challenges: global social issues such as sustainability and education; solutions should be science- and technology-based.</li> <li>Recognition: participation certificates and written feedback for all teams; trophies and certificates for winning teams.</li> <li>Entry fee: JPY 10,000 per team (approximately US$65) payable after registration.</li> </ul> <p>Register on the GYEC page at entreplanet.org, confirm your team of 3–8, pay the team fee, and prepare to tackle the challenge on the competition day.</p>
