<p>Volunteers at Alexandra Hospital are known as Alex Advocates. They support patient engagement activities on the hospital's green healing campus and accompany community nurses on home visits, bringing warmth and support to patients and caregivers.</p><ul><li>Befriend patients in the wards and run simple activities such as games and scrapbooking.</li><li>Conduct simple exercises with patients and monitor vital signs at outpatient clinics.</li><li>Escort patients to appointments and assist with errands.</li><li>Support nurses with registration, crowd control, surveys, and data entry during health screening events in the south-western community.</li><li>Accompany community nurses on home visits and help remind patients to take their medication.</li></ul><p>To join as an Alex Advocate or enquire, email AH_Advocates@nuhs.edu.sg.</p>
