<p>The Youth STEM Empowerment Programme (YSEP) is a school-based mentoring programme run by Science Centre Singapore that guides student teams to prototype STEM-based solutions to real-world community challenges aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Projects are run alongside industry partners such as AWS, Bloomberg, and GUILD.</p><ul><li>Teams develop innovative prototypes using science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, supported by design-thinking workshops and coaching sessions</li><li>Recent cohort themes include elderly care in underserved communities and water sustainability/climate action</li><li>Participants earn the QUESTA (Gold) award and a joint Youth STEM Empowerment Programme certificate on completion</li><li>Delivered in a hybrid format — school-based work plus on-site sessions at Science Centre Singapore, across a school semester</li><li>Registration through schools; enquiries go to youth_programme@science.edu.sg</li></ul><p>Teachers request the YSEP Circular from Science Centre Singapore to register student teams for the next cycle.</p>
