About this opportunity

<p>The World Wildlife Day International Youth Art Contest is an annual contest run by the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) in partnership with the CITES Secretariat and the United Nations Development Programme. It invites young artists to raise awareness for wildlife conservation through hand-drawn original artwork.</p><ul><li>Eligibility: youth aged 4 to 18, worldwide</li><li>2026 theme: Medicinal and Aromatic Plants — Conserving Health, Heritage and Livelihoods</li><li>Traditional art mediums only (markers, crayons, coloured pencils and paint)</li><li>Submission deadline: 1 February 2026 (23:59 GMT)</li><li>Free to enter; entries uploaded via the IFAW contest page</li><li>Finalists and winning entries are presented at the official World Wildlife Day event on 3 March 2026</li></ul><p>The 2026 cycle is now closed; the contest is expected to return for the next World Wildlife Day in 2027.</p>
