<p>The Wharton Global High School Investment Competition is a free 10-week online investment challenge run by the Wharton Global Youth Program at the University of Pennsylvania. Teams of high school students manage a virtual portfolio using the Wharton Investment Simulator and are judged on the quality of their investment strategy rather than pure portfolio performance.</p><ul><li>Open to high school students globally (grades 9-12); teams of 4-6 register via a teacher or advisor.</li><li>Free to enter.</li><li>Trading phase runs from late September to early December; semifinalists advance to virtual semifinals, and top teams compete at the in-person Global Finale at Wharton in Philadelphia.</li><li>Teams submit a midterm and a final report on their strategy alongside their portfolio.</li><li>Finalists gain recognition, a strong pre-university finance credential and networking with Wharton faculty and peers from around the world.</li></ul><p>Students join through a school advisor, who registers the team and sets up student accounts on the Wharton Investment Simulator ahead of each annual cycle.</p>
