About this opportunity
VSC (Community) officers are volunteers given police powers to patrol neighbourhoods from Neighbourhood Police Centres, deterring crime and helping with crowd and traffic control. Training covers police procedures, legal knowledge, defence tactics and first aid over seven weeks, after which officers patrol at least eight hours a month with an hourly allowance for transport and meals.
Who can apply
Singapore Citizens or PRs aged 18 to 60 with at least 3 GCE N-level credits or a NITEC and normal colour vision. Male applicants must have completed or been exempted from National Service; those in full-time NS are not eligible. A health screening replaces IPPT.
How to apply
