About this opportunity
TETA is a sponsored training programme that trains Singaporeans and PRs to become Certificate of Competency (Class 5) Marine Engineers. Trainees undergo 31 months across three phases: an 8-month pre-sea Certificate in Marine Engineering at Wavelink Maritime Institute, 15 months of on-the-job sea service onboard ship, and an 8-month CoC Class 5 preparatory course. Trainees receive a training allowance and heavily subsidised course fees.
Who can apply
Singapore Citizens or PRs with at least a Higher Nitec, preferably in Marine Engineering, Offshore & Marine Engineering Design or Marine & Offshore Technology. Must be physically and medically fit with no night or colour blindness and able to commit 31 months, including 6 to 9 months onboard vessels; males must have completed National Service.
