About this opportunity

<p>An annual futures-thinking competition run by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP) for post-secondary and pre-tertiary students in Singapore. The 2026 theme is "Future of Youth's Civic Contribution in Singapore", challenging participants to imagine how young people will shape the nation in 2050 through civic initiatives. Applications are by short essay, and successful applicants attend a four-day in-person programme at the NUS Bukit Timah campus.</p><ul><li>Four in-person days at NUS Bukit Timah, 16–19 June 2026, with a three-day futures thinking workshop run by LKYSPP faculty.</li><li>Final day features scenario presentations to experts and leaders from the public and private sectors.</li><li>Open to students currently enrolled in any post-secondary or pre-tertiary educational institution in Singapore (JC, polytechnic, ITE, centralised institute).</li><li>Prizes worth up to S$4,500, certificate of participation, and access to the LKYSPP network.</li><li>Selection by short essay; successful applicants notified by 6 May 2026.</li></ul><p>Apply individually via the LKYSPP competition page by 29 March 2026; full attendance across all four days is required.</p>
