About this opportunity

<p>Walk With Me is SHINE Children & Youth Services' pilot peer supporter programme for youths with, or at risk of, non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI). Trained peer supporters journey alongside service-user youths over a 3–6-month period, engaging them in activities and linking them to community resources to strengthen communication skills, emotional regulation, and healthy coping.</p><ul><li>For volunteers aged 19 to 35 who are passionate about youth mental health.</li><li>Peer supporters are matched with youths aged 15 to 35 facing similar challenges.</li><li>Minimum volunteer commitment of 8 months; each peer journey runs 3 to 6 months.</li><li>Training is provided before peer supporters are deployed.</li><li>Based in Singapore; operates as an island-wide pilot.</li></ul><p>Registration for the 2026 intake is open; interested volunteers can sign up through the SHINE volunteer portal.</p>
