About this opportunity
Polyphony Lit is an online literary magazine for high school writers worldwide, edited by students. Its free Volume 22 general submission window (1 October to 30 November 2026) gives written feedback from its editors on every piece, and the Fall Contest on the theme Nostalgia runs from 1 September to 30 November 2026. Published work can be nominated for the Claudia Ann Seaman Awards, which give USD 200 in each of poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction.
Who can apply
High school students aged 14 to 18 from anywhere in the world. Up to three pieces per submission year. Poetry up to 80 lines; fiction and creative nonfiction up to 1,800 words.
How to apply
Submit through Polyphony Lit's Submittable page. General submissions run 1 October to 30 November 2026 but close early once 200 entries arrive, so submit early. The Fall Contest runs 1 September to 30 November 2026; after its first 200 free entries, further contest entries cost USD 4.
