<p>LB Ambassadors offer ad-hoc manpower support at Lions Befrienders' community-driven events, helping with set-up, teardown and promoting the charity's programmes to seniors and the public. Lions Befrienders supports seniors to age healthily in place through befriending and community-based care.</p> <ul> <li>Volunteers must be comfortable conversing in English and/or at least one other Mother Tongue or Dialect</li> <li>Ad-hoc commitment of roughly 3–4 hours per event</li> <li>Events are island-wide (location depends on venue); some roles can be home-based</li> <li>Responsibilities include sharing information on Lions Befrienders' programmes at roadshows, setting up and tearing down event logistics, and supporting event collaterals</li> <li>Suitable for students seeking Values in Action (VIA) hours and exposure to the eldercare sector; new volunteers attend Orientation Training before deployment</li> </ul> <p>To register, complete the Volunteer Application Form on the Lions Befrienders website; enquiries go to volunteer@lb.org.sg.</p>
