<p>Batam Build is Habitat for Humanity Singapore's short-duration overseas build under the Global Village programme. Volunteers travel to Batam, Indonesia to help construct and repair homes, build latrines and improve access to clean water for families living in inadequate housing conditions.</p><ul><li>1 to 2 day build; teams of 3–4 volunteers for latrine builds and 8–10 for home builds</li><li>Minimum age 18; volunteers should be reasonably fit and free from chronic conditions</li><li>Programme fee approx S$3,000 per latrine build and S$8,000 per home build — covers construction materials, skilled labour, meals, transport and insurance</li><li>Corporate and tertiary group trips require a minimum of 6 months advance booking</li><li>No prior construction experience needed — briefing, training and on-site supervision provided</li></ul><p>Submit an enquiry via the Habitat Singapore Batam Build page to arrange a trip; ferry tickets and accommodation can be coordinated by Habitat staff.</p>
